Willkie Farr & Gallagher LLP today announced that Alexander Ryan has joined the Firm as a partner in the Executive Compensation & Employee Benefits Department. Mr. Ryan is a leading employee benefits attorney specializing in ERISA Title I matters. He is based in Willkie’s Washington, DC office. He was previously a principal at Groom Law Group.

Mr. Ryan advises plan sponsors and service providers, fiduciaries, investment funds, and investment fund managers on issues arising under ERISA and the Internal Revenue Code, including Department of Labor guidance and rulemaking. His work focuses on issues related to the fiduciary and prohibited transaction provisions of ERISA and the Internal Revenue Code related to the structure, design, and implementation of various investment products, including private equity, real estate, and hedge fund investments, commodity and real assets funds, and many others.
